My grandmother constantly tried to learn more English by reading, and she praised me whenever she saw me with a book in hand. Though I never met him, my grandfather was apparently a huge bookworm, and would spend hours reading at the local library. I’d like to think they’d be proud that I’m a writer, and doing so is my way of honoring something both of them loved.
